Arrival in Cochin

Gettin off the plane at Cochin and seeing the terminal still being built was pretty different. We had met a team from New Zealand on the plane and they had nowhere to stay so we said they could stay in our rooms at the hotel Ivan had booked in advance.

This did however mean that we had to stuff 6 people into the back of a taxi, which led to the old classic "POLICE - DUCK!!!!" shout where 2 of us ducked and the others looked innocent on the 40 minute drive to Fort Cochin.

Welcome to India.

Cross 3000 miles of harsh terrain. Eat nothing but curry. Get really ill.

And do it all on a rickshaw! Yeah that's the idea folks. Ivan, Andy and Nick have decided that it would be a brilliant idea to travel across the length and breadth of India , without a shread of a clue of how to fix a vehicle, on one of the most unreliable vehicles mankind has ever seen...
