Day 5: Happy New Year 2007 from the floor in Andhra Pradesh

The clock has just ticked over 12:01am at the start of 2007.

Camped on the concrete floor, I had just fallen asleep from exhaustion and an Indian guy walked in.



"Happy New Year, Sir!" He said shaking my hand warmly

Nick was comatose on the floor in the corner and missed a stream of all of the housemates and most of the neighbours dropping by to wish us all a happy new year.



And a happy new year it was.

Cross 3000 miles of harsh terrain. Eat nothing but curry. Get really ill.
